Mrs. Sabra Azam
W/O Late Major (R) S.M. Azam, was born in 1920. During her life she struggled hard to provide students the opportunity to acquire the skills needed to make positive decisions about a healthy, physically active lifestyle. She achieved this through the medium of movement regardless of innate and learned abilities, culture or gender. This hard working, dynamic lady left for heaven on December 28, 2013 leaving behind her friends, family and acquaintance to mourn her loss.
Mrs. Hamida
Wife of Col. Dr. Hassan Din and mother of Mr. Shaukat Hassan (Chairman Ilmgah School), though a housewife, devoted all her life in benevolent service to humanity. She was a devout member of APWA (All Pakistan Women's Association) and took an active interest in charitable works. A kind hearted lady, this religiously devoted lady left for Hereafter in 2002. The Trust was founded after their names, to honor their tireless efforts in field of education. A legacy that they started in 2011, still stands strong today due to the determined efforts of their respected sons and the skilled management of Ilmgah.
OUR STORY
A trust was established in the year 2010 by the name of "e;Sabra Hamida Trust"e; to cater the needs of the deserving in terms of Education, Health, Occupational & Medical facilities. SHT was the brainchild of two dynamic individuals, Mr. Tahir Azam and Mr. Shaukat Hassan, in 2010 who currently run the successful operations of MAS Group of Companies along with the BOD. The Trust was named after their charming mothers, Ms. Sabra (Late) and Ms. Hamida (Late) respectively. They created SHT to continue their vision of making this world a better place to live in and to contribute and share HTL's earnings back with society.
History shows up that no nation in the world can develop unless its people are educated. They should not only be educated but also match the developing trends in the market. Hence forth, a school named “ILMGAH SCHOOL†was established under the umbrella of the Trust. Ilmgah School is the first project under the Trust, which has been a tool for positive change within the small town of Green Town, Lahore. The school’s target is to deliver English medium education based on merit to those children who are less fortunate and cannot afford. SHT aims to continue its commitment to improve the quality of life of many families, the local community and society at large and Ilmgah would prove to be the hallmark towards many social projects in years to come. The founders believed that educating the younger generation and making them a better human being is its success. The motive is simple a brighter child today is a brighter Pakistan tomorrow. Under the umbrella of Sabra Hamida Trust, the management has undertaken many projects for the future development of many young girls and boys. We are committed to meet the highest standard in early care and education and are excited to provide programs which meet the unique educational needs, interests, abilities and aspiration of each student.
